Gary Kadlec

Gary Kadlec
President and Chief Executive Officer

Gary Kadlec is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hospice Pharmacia and excelleRx, Inc., an Omnicare company. Gary oversees all aspects of operations for both excelleRx and Hospice Pharmacia, where his primary responsibility is to ensure the highest level of service experience for the company’s clients, employees, and stakeholders.

Gary began his career as a pharmacist at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, MI. Following his time at St. Joseph’s, Gary became the Owner and President of Specialized Pharmacy Services, Inc. where he ran the operation for nearly 20 years. In 1995, Specialized Pharmacy Services became part of Omnicare, Inc., and Gary served as Regional Vice President at that time, and later became Senior Regional Vice President. In 2004, Gary joined excelleRx, and served as the Chief Operating Officer. In 2007, Gary stepped into the role of CEO and President for the company. 

Gary is involved with numerous organizations within the pharmacy community, including the American Pharmacists Association (current Treasurer, past President 1995 – 1998), the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, the International Pharmaceutical Federation, the National Community Pharmacists Association, and the Michigan Pharmacist Association (past President, Chairman of the Board). He published many articles on pharmacy, and presented at many pharmacy meetings including the World Congress of Pharmacy in 1994 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Gary earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from Ferris State University, School of Pharmacy, his MBA from Michigan State University, and his Honorary Doctorate of Science from Ferris State University.

Kevin Bain

Kevin Bain
Vice President, Clinical Support

Kevin Bain manages the clinical services of excelleRx and oversees the development of the Hospice Pharmacia Medication Use Guidelines (MUGs®). In his seven year tenure with the organization, he has served as Clinical Pharmacist, Research Associate, and Vice President of Chronic Care Outcomes.
                   
Kevin has written numerous articles; spoken nationally on geriatric and end-of-life issues such as medication appropriateness, medication-related problems, and pain and symptom management; and continues to serves as a consultant to the hospice and palliative care field. His experience includes research in heart failure, developing models for delivering medication therapy management services, and establishment of a systematic approach to discontinuing medications.

Kevin received his Bachelor and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, where he currently serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health. He is presently enrolled in the Executive Masters of Public Health (MPH) Program at Drexel University. Kevin is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, and a Cardiac Care Associate with the American College of Cardiology.

Michael Cinque

Michael Cinque
Chief Pharmaceutical Care Officer

Michael Cinque is Chief Pharmaceutical Care Officer for, and a founder of, Hospice Pharmacia and excelleRx.  In Michael’s current role, his responsibilities include managing the processes of the company’s Pharmacy Services Support Center and helping to create opportunities for pharmacists to positively impact the outcomes of terminally ill patients in measurable ways.  Over the years, Michael has held key operations and client support positions including VP of Finance, VP, Operations, SVP, Client Support and SVP, Clinical Operations.

Michael began his career more than 15 years ago a Clinical Pharmacist and owner of Bridesburg Pharmacy in Pennsylvania, providing direct care to hospice and non-hospice patients. Michael’s pharmacy practice at Bridesburg not only provided pharmacy care to patients, it was also a learning center and mentoring practice site for clinical pharmacists in training.

He has served as President of the American Pharmacists Association’s Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management and a member of the APhA Board of Trustees.  He currently serves on the Boards of the National Hospice Foundation, The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, and The Food Trust.

Michael earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from Temple University, and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida.

Robert DeVito

Robert DeVito
Vice President, Finance

Robert DeVito leads the Finance Department, provides strategic direction, and ensures financial best practices are implemented to support growth. He manages the financial reporting systems, communicates operating performance to excelleRx’s parent company, Omnicare, Inc., manages the budgeting and forecasting processes, and directs the financial analysis of contracts, projects and capital expenditures.  Robert joined excelleRx in 2008.

Prior to his role at excelleRx, Robert was Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy for Sequa Corporation, where he served as a member of the Management Executive Committee and was responsible for the company’s mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and financial performance improvement programs. Prior to that position, Robert held the positions of Assistant Controller, Director of Corporate Accounting, and Manager of Financial Reporting for Sequa Corporation.  

Robert earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Rutgers College, and his Accounting MBA from the Rutgers Graduate School of Business.

Dean Forman

Dean Forman
Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Client Relations

Dean Forman is responsible for the growth of Hospice Pharmacia.  This includes oversight of sales, marketing, client retention and support, and Inpatient Facility Services.

Dean joined Hospice Pharmacia in 2002 to head the New Business Development group. In 2007 his role was expanded to include all client-facing functions. Dean spends much of his time meeting with key accounts to ensure that HP is meeting the expectations of its clients and that the company strategy is consistent with the industry’s needs.

Dean came to Hospice Pharmacia with over 15 years of sales, marketing, and management experience in the private and public sectors.

Dean earned his B.S. in Business Administration, Management & Organizational Development from Rider University, and his MBA from LaSalle University.

Mike Groh

Mike Groh
Chief Information Officer

As head of  the Information Technology (IT) Department, Mike Groh leads a talented team of analysts, engineers, developers, computer scientists, administrators and pharmacists to support the current and future IT requirements of excelleRx and its customers. This includes a substantial technology research and development effort to facilitate excelleRx’s strategic initiatives.

Mike joined the company in 2001 as Sr. Vice President, Pharmacoinformatics.  In this capacity, he was responsible for the company’s intensive software development projects.

Mike has over 30 years of experience in pharmacy and IT.  He has owned and operated an independent community pharmacy and served as a faculty member at MUSC and the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University (MCV).  He was the Associate Director for the Ambulatory Care Division of the Department of Pharmacy Services at MCV where he also managed the Pharmacy Information Systems Division.  As Vice President for Health Information Services at the National Data Corporation (NDC) he was responsible for developing, marketing, and supporting NDC’s Advanced Clinical Databases and patient care applications.  He also founded CarePoint®, a point–of–care information technology company, where he served as the President and CEO until he joined excelleRx in 2001.

Mike earned his B.S. from Clemson University, and his PharmD from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).

Diane Perrymore

Diane Perrymore
Vice President, Human Resources

Diane Perrymore is responsible for developing and leading human resource strategies that enhance recruitment, leadership development, and retention of outstanding team members within excelleRx.  She serves as an advisor and partner to the management team in establishing development goals for the organization, and oversees the administration of benefits, compensation, payroll, safety, and employee relations.  Diane joined excelleRx in 2005.

Prior to her role with excelleRx, Diane was the VP of Human Resources for three years with Crothall Service, a healthcare and hospitality contract services organization.  She also worked with Sunrise Assisted Living, the largest provider of senior living services, first serving as Director of Leadership Development, and later as VP of Team Member Services, where she was responsible for global employment practices and systems in 180 communities in the US, Canada, and the UK.

Diane earned her B.A. in Human Services from Villanova University, and her M.S. in Human Resource Development from Villanova University.

Evelyn Thompson

Evelyn Thompson
Vice President, Performance Improvement

Evelyn Thompson is responsible for assessing the organization’s needs for improvement.  Her role includes strategically planning and implementing performance initiatives to fulfill the mission and vision of the company. Evelyn provides workforce leadership and development to handle a complex environment and high performance culture. She leads four departments, Quality Assurance, Education/Training, Coaching and Customer service.  She has been with excelleRx for over 12 years.

Prior to her current role, Evelyn was the Director of Program Integrity, serving as a liaison to excelleRx’s hospice partners, providing QA support and helping excelleRx employees understand the role of the hospice nurse. Her role as Director of Implementation helped new hospice partners transition to our services. She has provided training to our management team on setting expectations and providing follow-up to improve motivation and employee performance. She brings 20 years of leadership and management experience to her position.

Evelyn has 13 years hospice experience as a Primary Nurse, Nursing Administrator and Acting CEO of a large non-profit hospice. She was also an Oncology Nurse Manager in Acute Care and an accomplished presenter and motivator.

Evelyn is a Registered Nurse and Certified Master Coach for Executive/Employee career and personal development.

Dennis Wilson

Dennis Wilson
Senior Vice President, Operations & Corporate Compliance

Dennis Wilson is responsible for corporate compliance activities and the regulatory oversight of excelleRx’s three licensed pharmacies (Memphis, TN, Philadelphia, PA, and Sharon Hill, PA).  He is also responsible for the management of the two automated fulfillment operations (Memphis, TN and Sharon Hill, PA) and their associated purchasing functions.  Dennis started with excelleRx in 2001.

Prior to joining excelleRx, Dennis served as Director of Pharmacy Operations for PlanetRx.com where he implemented and managed a high-volume, fully automated pharmacy in Memphis, TN.  Prior to that, he practiced law on a full-time basis focusing on health care and pharmacy.  His areas of practice included health care fraud and abuse, malpractice, professional licensing, independent case review/consultation and expert witness testimony. 

Dennis earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1992, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1995.
